Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

The Pileated Woodpecker is one of my favorite woodpeckers. It size reminds me of the cartoon character Woody. They are often found in larger woods trying to eat ants and other bugs. This one was enjoying the poison ivy berries in the winter when I spotted him.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
